SCREAMING LORD SUTCH!
This is Screaming Lord Sutch. And some of you may be familiar with him not just for his music but for political reasons. Screaming Lord Sutch is the man responsible for the Monster Raving Loony Party. The video I have included is for Jack The Ripper one of his cult songs (recently covered by The Horrors).
Ricky Nelson
This is Ricky Nelson playing Lonesome town which is somewhat of a legendary song in the rockabilly curcuit. With numerous bands (The Cramps, Reverend Beatman) revisiting the song. Bringing it to the attention of a new generation and as a homage to slick Rick.
Johnny Cash
This is the ultimate Rock 'N' Roll hero Johnny Cash performing live in San Quentin prison. Performing the song 'A boy named Sue' which is one of my favourites. At the time no one had ever done anything like this before, and without doubt I think it inspired the Cramps to perform live at a mental hospital which you can see further down the page!
Les Sexareenos
This is one of two Canadian Rock n roll group's that I have included. Here are 'The Sexareenos' with their music video for the song 'Everybody Sexareeno' the video was actually banned for it's explicit content and can only be watched on the internet.
Bloodshot Bill
This is canadian rocker blood shot bill banned from even entering the U.S.A Playing his song 'Il Know'. If you want to find out more about this wildman go to his website http://www.bloodshotbill.com/.

The singing Loins
This is Kents finest and rawest medieval Folk music. Friends of Billy Childish, they play where ever and whenever they can, on the streets, pubs, kebab shops but in this case on siberian tv. I have seen them play a few times and supported them a few years back with an old band i was in. If you like em! they've just bought out a new album available in rough trade!!!
Hazil Adkins
This is the rockabilly legend Hazil Adkins who has been hailed as the godfather of Primitive rock n roll. He spent most of his life in a west virginia shack making songs and recording them on a reel to reel tape machine. He has inspired many bands such as the Cramps who covered his song 'She Said' in the 80's, giving him a sudden burst of recognition and a cult following. The clip shown is from the music show Ghoul a go-go which their is more about further down the page.

The Bobbyteens
The Bobbyteens are a 75% girl garage group from the United States, that specialise in that sleazy trashy sounding rock n roll This music video for 'hot city boy' is without doubt proof of that!!!!!!!
Ghoul a go-go
Ghoul a go-go is a music show in America that features all kind's of primitive act's such as Hasil Adkin's, the 5678's (Featured in kill bill)and many more. The show is a strange mix of tv shows like the munsters and childrens TV and ofcourse live music. Watch the clips to get the idea!!!!!!
Eddie Angel and Los straitjackets
Eddie Angel is somewhat a cult figure in the rockabilly circuit, world renowned for his guitar playing abillities. He has released numerous solo albums on Camden Based label 'No Hit Records' such as 'Eddie angels guitar party' which is a must have for any rockabilly fans. But recently he has teamed up with the Los Sraitjackets a surf instrumental band from california. The clip above is from a rockabilly festival, keep watching till the end you dont want to miss their version of batman.
Billy Childish
This is Billy Childish with his band that recently split the Buff Medways. Childish has been playing in bands since the 77 punk era, he describes his sound as 'dustbin mod', mod music that sounds likes it's beeing played in a dustbin. He is also a painter, poet and novelist and makes short super 8 films such as this one. He lives in chatam, kent and has done so all his life. The song I have included 'Medway wheelers' is about a local cycling club that his mother was once apart of.

The Cramps live at Napa state mental hospital
This is some footage of the Cramps pushing the idea of a musical performance to a whole new level. Live in the Napa State Mental Hospital. The cramps have been making music since 1976, lead singer 'Lux Interior' and guitarist 'Poison Ivy' have been happily married for equally as long. For me they are one of the best bands around. Managing to combine the sounds of obscure 50's rockabilly with the visuals of B-movie horror flicks, and the smut and sleaze of sexual fettish wear!! I have also included a video for the song 'Like a bad girl should' so you can see the happy couple in action.
John Schooley and his one man band
Ivor Cutler
Last but not least! This is Ivor cutler who was a Scotish poet and musician and general genius. His songs have an absurdist humour to them but are also very phylisophical. I see him as more than a musician and in his own right an artist and this is why i have brought him to your attention. If you like his music you can get hold of his albums quiete easily.
